Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Premium Sea Salt
- 3 tablespoons Dried Butterfly Pea Flowers
- 2 tablespoons Water
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest (Optional)
- 1 teaspoon Dried Herbs (Optional)
Instructions
- Combine dried butterfly pea flowers and water in a small bowl, stir gently for one minute, and let steep for five minutes until deep blue.
- Pour premium sea salt into a medium bowl, drizzle the butterfly pea flower-infused water evenly over the salt, and stir thoroughly until moistened.
- Sprinkle optional lemon zest or dried herbs over the salt and stir until evenly distributed.
- Spread the mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet and dry in a 200°F oven for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring halfway through, then let cool completely.
- Transfer the cooled blue salt to an airtight glass container, seal tightly, and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Notes
Use coarse sea salt for best texture and color retention. Ensure the oven is exactly 200°F to prevent the vibrant blue color from fading, and make sure the salt is completely dry before storing.
